Lebanese Player Joins Manchester City Football Club

This might not be the newest of Transfer News, but it is important if you love football and if you are of Lebanese origins or if you support Sweden or Manchester City.

Zackarias Faour is dubbed ‘The New Zlatan Ibrahimovic’. He will be joining Manchester City’s Elite Development Squad (under the supervision of the legendary Patrick Vieira) in January 2014.

Zackarias Faour is a 15 year old Swedish striker who plays for Swedish club Malmo FF representing its U-17 youth squad. He was tracked by Chelsea, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Juventus, but Manchester City moved quickly by agreeing to a development fee of £400,000 in June 2013.

The personal bit of news about this talent is he was born on 19 March 1998 for a Lebanese father and a Swedish mother. He can play for either Lebanon or Sweden, although there is no much information at the moment whether he represented Sweden’s national youth teams or not yet.

All hopes are that Zackarias Faour (or Zacharias Faour or “زكريا فاعور”) really fulfills his potentials and becomes as great as the striker he is  likened to.

Hasan Cetinkay, who is Zackarias Faour's agent, describes Zackarias as 'large, technically gifted, good at receiving the ball and a true goalscorer.'
