The Victorious will be a weekly show on Dubai Sports TV and Dubai TV, and its format has been tweaked from last year’s. This year, there will be a judge’s panel consisting of Michel Salgado, Khalid Al-Shenaif, and Mohamed Barakat. Throughout the show, resident football stars will accompany the participants and help them improve their skills, under the supervision of coach (and show producer/creator) Jehad Muntasser, who was an ex-Arsenal professional. The lineup of superstars includes big names like Javier Zanetti, Luis Figo, Michael Ballack, Thierry Henry, Edgar Davids, and Alessandro Del Piero. Hosting the show will see Nathalie Mamo and Sherif Fayed join forces to present an enjoyable experience for the viewers and players.

The 44 contestants of the show were selected after several tryouts in many Arab countries. They all went to a boot camp in Lebanon after which 20 finalists were chosen to be part of the finals. The finalists will be in Dubai Sports City where the show will be shot over the next two months. In each episode the audience and viewers’ vote will save one player to stay, while the judges will give their vote to a second one.

The winner takes home a grand prize of 100,000 USD and a tryout opportunity with a well-known European football club.

Because “Life Is Football”, The Victorious is hope for many young Arabs and a step into a better future.
